14 Mar Las Vegas Worst Metro Area For Affordable Housing Options
A new report has named Las Vegas and greater Nevada as far below the national average in terms of affordable housing – in fact, Las Vegas was the worst metro area for available affordable housing options.
The National Low-Income Housing Coalition released a report Tuesday, which ranked Nevada last among the states for the fourth year in a row.
The study used U.S. Census survey data from 2016 to identify rental housing that was affordable and available for extremely low-income families.
That means a family of four in Las Vegas making less than $24,000 a year.
The study found Las Vegas having only 10 rental units for every 100 extremely low-income households.
